Accreditation- Public Trust 

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office is an Internationally Accredited Agency through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. (CALEA).  CALEA provides credentialing services for law enforcement agencies, public safety communications agencies, public safety training academies, and campus security agencies.  This accrediation process is a proven modern management model which promotes the efficient use of resources and improves service delivery. The sheriff’s office undergoes an extensive re-assessment every three years to ensure compliance with the applicable standards.
